Stuffed Cornish Game Hens

A delicious recipe for stuffed Cornish game hens featuring turkey bacon and herbs.

  • 2 Cornish game hens
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. In a bowl, combine cooked rice, chopped bacon, onions, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the Cornish game hens with the mixture.
  6. Place the hens in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  7. Bake for 1 hour, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Let rest before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add other spices according to your taste.
  • For a crispy skin, broil the hens for a few minutes after baking.
