- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
- Add yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and fold in the cheeses.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
