GLAZED CARROTS WITH BROWN SUGAR MAPLE GLAZE

Delicious glazed carrots coated in a sweet brown sugar maple glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds carrots
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the carrots into even pieces.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the brown sugar and maple syrup, stirring until combined.
  4. Add the carrots and salt, mixing well to coat.
  5. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes until carrots are tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the lid and cook for an additional 5 minutes to glaze the carrots.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon.
  • These carrots pair well with roasted meats.
