2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk for icing
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, eggs, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Spread half the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Add the remaining batter on top and swirl gently with a knife.
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
For icing, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
Drizzle icing over the bars after they have cooled.
Notes
For a more intense cinnamon flavor, add extra cinnamon to the icing.
Serve warm or at room temperature for a delightful treat.
